![]() ![]() The machine I am trying to RDP to is IP xx.yy.178.2zz. I don't know if I am doing something wrong, but it doesn't work. If was to do this, what routes would I need to setup? That way, my win machine IP would be something like 192.168.1.x and I would be traversing 2 routers. I think that worst case, I might be willing to re-arrange my internal networking, i.e., make my "internal" router into an access point, rather that be a router (as it is now). When I connect to the remote server using RDP, I need the remote server to see "aa.bb.cc.dd" as the incoming IP address.Ĭan I still bypass the VPN (VPN client would be running on my win machine) ? The "outside" IP (on the internet) of my ISP router is "aa.bb.cc.dd". The "outside" IP of the internal router is 192.168.1.4. The internal router is connected to my ISP (Verizon) router. The IP of the internal router on the "inside" is 192.168.0.1. My win machine is connected to my "internal" router (a netgear). So are you saying that after I create that route on my Windows 10 machine, I just run mstsc.exe and connect to 199.199.199.199 and that connection will "bypass" the VPN'ed connection?ĭoes it matter if my machine IP (the 192.168.1.100) is on my LAN, behind 2 routers (I have one router upstairs, where I am, which connects to our main ISP router, which goes to the 'net), before it gets to the internet?ĮDIT 2: Also, with your suggestion, will the target server still "see" the IP that my ISP router has, as the incoming IP address?ĮDIT 3: I realized that I should have been clearer about my networking. Netgear R7800 x3 - WDS AP / station, gateway, QoSInteresting! So are you saying that after I create that route on my Windows 10 machine, I just run mstsc.exe and connect to 192.168.1.100 and that connection will "bypass" the VPN'ed connection?ĮDIT: Sorry I got what you said backwards. Some dd-wrt wiki pages are up to date, others are not. Top of the page, Shortcut Forwarding Engine (SFE), disable.īefore asking a question on the forums, update dd-wrt: Where do I download firmware? I suggest reading it all. It is a bug and I filed already a bug report: īut it depends on the complexity and the time it will take the devs and the priority when it will be fixed. Men so simple, I would have never thought of this. I have not looked into all your settings but If you are using a build with SFE, turn it off. Last edited by M_Mike on Thu 12:59 edited 2 times in total Is Avahi the solution? Or do I need another router? I now use TP-Link C7 V2, DD-WRT build 32753Ĭould you please point me out in the right direction?Īttached screenshots of the original setup, what I have send to Nord VPN support, I will share their respons as soon as I get it. I have tried dozens of firewall scripts, additional vpn configs and I have rebooted my router at least 100 times, ok maybe a little bit less -) I have paste the script of Eibgrad in the start up commands. I can make vpn connection with NordVPN on OpenVPN but I will lose my internet connect on the vpn bridge (br1) as soon as soon as I fill in the policy based routing field. I’m trying to setup up a split tunnel similar as Am coder in post, īr0 > eth1 ath0 ath1 With DHCP 192.168.1.1 start at 100 max 50īr1 > th0.1 192.168.10.1 start at 100 max 50 Sorry to ask, I’m new with DD-WRT and I really tried to figure this out myself but after 4 nights of trying I became quite hopeless.
